The idea of the band is to unite all artists to form a community musically and relationship wise. Our mission is to uplift artists around us wherever we are bound to go.

Defy Theory is a rock band from Johannesburg, South Africa. The band was formed in 2013 and consists of members Gareth Cairncross, Franna Nel, Daniel Bronkhorst, Renier Lillie and Justin Visagie. The band’s sound cannot be placed under one genre but rather experiments with a mix of alternative, hard rock, rap rock and dance music. Drawing influence from bands such as Muse, Gangs of Ballet, Linkin Park and Alter Bridge among others.

“The Color Blew” a passionate musical collaboration between experienced independent music veterans. Liaan Horton teamed up with Armando Santos and Marius Cronje to interpret and create aural art based on songs written by Liaan Horton. This union proved to be so successful that “The Color Blew” soon started writing fresh alternative rock songs as a unit.

OTN are all seasoned musicians with industry experience ranging well over 15 years respectively and all schooled in music on one way or another. Their collective influences include Dr Dre’, Metallica, The Dave Matthews Band, Slipknot, John Coltrane, OutKast, The Police and Tool, the list continues but gives an indication of how the end result is achieved firmly grounded in rock but with hints of their individual influences.

I am a South African musician with a professional performance career spanning over fifteen years. Besides performing in many of South Africa’s premier entertainment destinations as a solo artist, duo’s, bands and musical theatre productions – ranging in genres from Jazz, Folk, Pop and Rock – I have self-produced and independently released 4 original studio albums with 5 singles from these albums reaching Top 20 chart positions on various FM and online radio stations.

Kidnapped by Gypsies is an Indie/Desert Rock/Rock ‘n Roll band, with band members: Colleen Helberg (Vocals) , Edwin Odendaal (Guitar), Travis Burrows (Drums) and Jay O’Brian (Bass). They started in 2016 and with influences like Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala and Radiohead they have been working together to bring you a soulful twist on the Rock ‘n Roll genre alone.
